Para 3 Lightweight Pink FRN, Satin is a compact folder from Spyderco, designed as a lighter and more pocketable alternative to the iconic Para Military 2. The pink FRN gr ips stand out not only for their looks, but also for their significance – this is a limited edition supporting the Living Beyond Breast Cancer® campaign, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the relief organization. The entire piece was manufactured at the Spyderco Golden, Colorado USA Earth factory, with the highest standards of the brand. Blade made of CTS BD1N steel with leaf shape profile offers very good cutting properties and corrosion resistance. The satin finish surface reduces the visibility of scratches, and the classic Spyderco Round Hole allows intuitive one-handed opening – even with gloves. The pronounced notching on the back and finger choil increase control of the blade while working. Handle made of FRN combines light weight, ergonomics and excellent grip thanks to Bi-Directional Texturing™. The open-backed design promotes weight reduction and facilitates cleaning. The compression lock mechanism ensures safe use, and the deep carry clip allows you to carry in four configurations. This is a versatile folding knife, combining precision, lightness and a symbolic message.

CTS BD1Nis an American martensitic stainless steel withhigh carbon, chromium,andnitrogencontent. Developed and produced in the USA byCarpenter Technology Corporation, it’s an enhanced version ofCTS-BD1,offering greater working hardness—up to63 HRC.Key differences include the absence of vanadium and the presence of 0.10%–0.15% nitrogen, which produces nearly four times as many atoms as vanadium.CTS BD1Nalso contains increased levels of chromium, manganese, and silicon, resulting in improved performance. It excels as a blade steel with high corrosion resistance, notable edge retention, excellent toughness, and a fine-grained microstructure.

Compression-Lock – (similar to Liner-Lock) a patented blade locking mechanism by Spyderco (made in USA). Extremely durable, it provides extreme strength and ease of use. Located on the back of the Handle, it protects the knife from inadvertent locking. When releasing the lock, the fingers are not in the path of the folding Blade.

Blade – with leaf shape profile was made of stainless steel CTS BD1N, known for its good edge retention and resistance to rust. Full Flat Grindincreases cutting efficiency and reduces material drag, which affects the smoothness of work. Satin finish gives the blade an aesthetically pleasing appearance and increases scratch resistance. The centrally located Spyderco Round Hole allows for quick opening with one hand. Additional jimping on the back of the blade and in the choil zone increases safety and precision of handling the blade in varied conditions of use.

Handle – made of FRN(Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) in pink offers excellent traction thanks to Bi-Directional Texturing™, a bi-directional non-slip texture. Optimized ergonomics provide a comfortable grip, regardless of environmental conditions. The lightweight open-backed design further reduces weight and facilitates maintenance. The compression lock used enhances safety, and the deep carry clip allows the knife to be carried left/right, tip up. Complemented by a lanyard hole, allowing you to personalize or secure the knife in the field.
