Opis

Native 5 Brown Canvas Micarta, Satin is a new edition of EDC knife excellence, while exemplifying design craftsmanship and advanced technology. The fifth generation of this legendary folder features a Handle made of Canvas Micarta composite, valued for its exceptional durability and superior grip for increased control during use. This edition, is equipped with a Blade made of CPM Cru-Wear tool steel, which provides extremely high abrasion resistance and excellent edge retention – features particularly desired by users working intensively with the knife. Designed by Sal Glesser – founder of the Spyderco brand – it combines functionality with aesthetics, making this model a reliable tool for everyday use.

CPM Cru-Wear – premium high-carbon air-hardening tool steel with a hardness of 60-65 HRC. Produced by US Crucible Industries according to the CPM (Crucible Particle Metallurgy) process as an improvement on the manufacturer’s conventional Cru-Wear and D2 steels. Produced according to the CPM process, it is more resistant to chipping and cracking than most conventionally manufactured tool steels. It is not a stainless steel; to qualify as a stainless steel, it must contain at least 12% chromium. CruWear contains 7.5% chromium, but still offers a fair level of corrosion resistance. It contains a high content of 1.1% carbon, 7.5% chromium, 1.6% molybdenum, 2.48% vanadium and 1.15% tungsten, providing a balance for key properties: hardness, impact strength, edge retention, machinability, wear resistance and easy sharpening. It’s not easy to find a steel that performs so well in so many categories.

Blade – Plain smooth blade brought out with a Full Flat Grind. SpyderHole round cutout (Spyderco patent) for ambidextrous thumb opening. Refined, precision-machined Back-Lock Blade locking mechanism guarantees extremely smooth operation. The notched thumb rest (upper jimping) on the back of the blade and the Finger Choil (an undercut for the index finger between the Handle and the cutting edge) make it easier to control the knife.

Handle – profiled, covered with non-slip textured grips in Brown, attributed to the Blade with CPM Cru-Wear, provides a comfortable and secure grip. Made of durable, heat- and cold-resistant, chemical-resistant Canvas Micarta composite. The grips are attached to a sturdy stainless steel spacer (called backspacer / Handle grips connector), which ensures the strength of the construction. The whole thing was fastened with torx screws for easy twisting and unfolding of the folder . Polished steel metal clip with 4-way clip positions (up/down, right/left). Enlarged cord hole in the back.
