CPM 154CM – a high-quality stainless steel used in the production of knives and other cutting tools. It is a premium steel that offers excellent edge retention, strength and corrosion resistance. 154CM steel was developed by Crucible Industries, which specializes in the production of special metals for industrial applications. It contains a combination of carbon, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium, which give it unique properties. The name “154CM” stands for 1.54% carbon and the inclusion of the elements chromium and molybdenum. It is often compared to other premium steels such as S30V, S35VN and CPM-20CV.
