Thor6 Black / Green Titanium, Satin by Rike Knife is an expression of a bold design vision in which engineering discipline meets aesthetics inspired by biomechanics and organic forms. Created from a single block of titanium, the Handle’s body has been precision-milled and anodized in shades of black and purple, creating a dynamic, sculptural structure reminiscent of an exoskeleton or mechanical architecture. This model was created for design enthusiasts, for whom a knife is not only a tool, but also a style manifesto. At the center of the composition is a Blade made of Böhler M390 steel, known for its exceptional abrasion resistance and long-lasting sharpness retention. Its spear point profile and satin finish emphasize precision and culture, while the integrated notch on the blade allows for easy one-handed opening. The Handle is distinguished by a skeletonized design that significantly reduces weight, improves ventilation and increases rigidity. M390 – a martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade – A slim blade with a spear point profile provides a balance between cutting precision and effective material penetration. It is made of Böhler M390 powder steel, valued for its exceptional edge retention and wear resistance. The flat grind improves working efficiency, and the satin finish reduces drag and light reflections. A cutout along the back of the blade enhances opening convenience, while subtle milling promotes ergonomics during use. A frame lock mechanism with a hardened steel inlay was used, which guarantees the stability of the blade in any situation.
Handle – made of a uniform piece of titanium, which has undergone CNC milling, creating a light and rigid structure with a distinctly skeletal form. Designs referring to biomechanical systems and contrasting anodizing in shades of black and green give the knife a dynamic character. The molding under the fingers, the milling on the back and the annular pivot enhance the user experience and aesthetics. The design is complemented by a deep carry clip and a lanyard hole, making this model functional for everyday use as well.
