RT-Cool Whale Gray Titanium, Manual Fine Grinding Pearlescent is a modern interpretation of an EDC folding knife, where industrial aesthetics meet high craftsmanship. M390 – martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade – used powder steel Böhler M390, known for its excellent hardness, wear resistance and long retention of sharpness. The drop point profile allows for versatile use – from precision work to tasks that require more pressure. The blade has been finished by hand with a manual fine grinding technique giving a pearl sheen effect, which emphasizes its visual elegance and precise finish. The grind enhances the cutting properties, and the opening system with flipper and thumb stud offers quick access to the blade while maintaining full control.
Handle – construction made entirely of titanium guarantees durability, rigidity and resistance to external conditions. The applied milling improves the ergonomics of the grip, while giving the surface a distinct technological texture.
