Agile Peregrine Falcon Black DLC Titanium, Black DLC is a technically advanced premium folder , created for users who expect not only high functionality, but also ease of maintenance and perfection of workmanship. The design is based on a monolithic exoskeleton made of 6AL4V titanium, the surface of which has been coated with a black DLC coating – for a matte, scratch-resistant finish and improved grip. Blade made of Böhler M390 steel, known for its extreme edge retention and wear resistance, has a Reverse Tanto profile and has also been coated with black DLC coating. With its high flat grind and extended belly, the knife offers excellent cutting geometry. The user has two ways of opening: front flipper or blade opening, which allows quick access in all conditions. Handle, in addition to high ergonomics, offers the ability to remove the housing without the need for tools – thanks to a special locking button. All components, including the deep carry clip in titanium, were made with high precision CNC. The whole is completed with a soft nylon case with the manufacturer’s logo – for safe transportation. This is an offer for enthusiasts of modern designs who do not recognize compromises.
M390 – martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) durability of the blade surface is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry.
Blade – with a Reverse Tanto profile combines an elongated belly with a reinforced tip, enabling precise maneuvering and efficient cutting. Made of M390 powder steel and coated with black DLC. High flat grind provides excellent blade geometry. Blade opening, front flipper allow quick, intuitive use. The mechanism is based on ceramic ball bearings, which translates into exceptional smoothness of operation. The liner lock stabilizes the blade in the open position, and the upper jimping notch on the back of the blade improves control during use.
Handle – exoskeleton of titanium 6AL4V, to which a CNC-milled sheath of the same material is attached. The black DLC-coated surface increases wear resistance and facilitates grip even with wet hands. A push-button mechanism allows quick removal of the grips – important for maintenance-conscious users. The design is complemented by a tip-up titanium deep carry clip and a lanyard hole. The whole is supplied in a branded nylon case, which ensures safe carrying of the knife on a daily basis and on the go.
