The Torpedo Beige G10, Stonewashed / Satin from Bestech Knives is a compact EDC folder designed for everyday reliability and versatile use. D2 – high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 59-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
Blade – modified Drop Point, with a striking Two Tone finish , satin cut , the rest is Stonewashed. The gentle curve of the cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearings support the opening of the blade with a quick index-finger flipper when opened acting as a crossguard. A section of the blade’s back is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole is locked with a proven and popular liner lock.
Handle grips – grips made of G10, practically indestructible plastic insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges and characteristic texturing of the surface improves grip security. The open-backed design, fixed with steel spacer sleeves, reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The simple, solid construction gives assurance of many years of use. Deep finger undercut (fore finger groove) improves ergonomics. The two-position (right/left) clip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position , with the tip of the blade upward. Above the clip a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
