The TFF-1 Green Brsh/Bronze “Stained Glass”, Bronze HW, Brsh/Bronze Clip, Vulcan is the flagship tactical folder from Medford Knife & Tool, reflecting Greg Medford’s uncompromising design philosophy: maximum durability, reliable performance and military style. TFF stands for “The Fighting Folder,” a name appropriate to the nature of this tool, designed for extreme working conditions. Blade made of CPM S45VN steel was finished using the Vulcan method , which gives each piece an individual, organic pattern, difficult to fake and visually unique. Handle is made of milled titanium, decorated with geometric Stained Glass motif and anodized in contrasting Brushed Green/Bronze color scheme . The bronze screws used , the deep carry clip with the manufacturer’s logo and the precisely fitted frame lock make the TFF-1 both a combat tool and an item for advanced collectors. The whole is completed by the company’s carrying case and certificate of authenticity. This is a knife that perfectly combines utilitarian functionality with craftsmanship.

CPM S45VN – an American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, one of the best blade steels. Designed to provide better strength compared to CPM S30V, while keeping corrosion resistance at the highest level. Produced by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition has been balanced so that it is composed of 0.5% niobium carbides (Nb) along with 3.0% vanadium (V) and 14.0%chromium (Cr) carbides. The improved strength of CPM S45VN also provides better resistance to edge chipping.
The Vulcan finish is a striking heat-treatment of the Blade, which gives the steel unique multicolored patterns and makes each piece unique. The colors and stain pattern are created naturally during a controlled oxidation process, making the Blade not only a tool, but also a collector’s item.
Blade – with drop point profile was made of CPM S45VN powder steel, valued for its excellent edge retention and high resistance to corrosion and wear. The applied Vulcan finish gives the wedges unique thermal patterns, giving each piece an individual character. The hollow grind improves cutting characteristics while maintaining adequate blade thickness for heavy-duty work. Blade opening allows for quick, instinctive one-handed opening. The design ensures functionality in field, tactical and everyday conditions, while maintaining aesthetics worthy of an exclusive product.
Handle – made of titanium was decorated with Stained Glass style milling , which not only improves the grip, but also gives the knife an artistic expression. Brushed/Bronze finish harmonizes with bronze screws and deep carry clip, creating an aesthetic and cohesive composition. The frame lock guarantees full stability during use, and the Blade’s massive blade axis increases the strength of the entire construction. Additional milling (jimping) on the back of the Handle improves control for precision tasks. The TFF-1 model is delivered in the company’s protective case with a certificate of authenticity, which confirms its collector class and workshop pedigree.
