3Cr13MoV is a martensitic chromium steel that has been enriched with molybdenum (Mo) and vanadium (V) to improve its performance properties. The typical chemical composition includes about 0.26-0.35% carbon (C), 12.5-14.5% chromium (Cr), 0.4-0.6% molybdenum (Mo) and 0.1-0.2% vanadium (V). The addition of chromium provides corrosion resistance, while molybdenum increases hardenability, high-temperature strength and resistance to pitting corrosion. Vanadium contributes to the hardness, wear resistance and fine grain structure of the steel. 3Cr13MoV is used for knives (often found in folding knives and hunting knives), medical tools and other applications where a good combination of corrosion resistance, hardness and strength is required. It is an improved version of 3Cr13 steel, offering better sharpness retention and overall durability.
Blade – each of the knives is equipped with a blade with a symmetrical spear point profile, suitable for rotary and non-rotary throwing techniques. The blade is made of corrosion-resistant 3Cr13MoV stainless steel, which stands up well to repeated impacts and is easily sharpened. The lack of sharp cutting edges increases training safety, and the symmetrical grind promotes even weight distribution. The satin finish gives the overall blade a utilitarian look and reduces glare. Thanks to the well-chosen geometry, the knives maintain flight stability and perform well both on the sports track and in recreational throwing.
Handle – is an integral part of the monolithic full tang construction , continuing the line of the blade without additional grips. To improve grip, a cord wrap made of durable nylon, resistant to abrasion and moisture, was used. The ringed tip allows for dynamic handling and allows for the attachment of a cord or pendant, harkening back to traditional utility techniques. The symmetrical grip geometry promotes versatility and adaptability to different throwing styles. The set includes a case with compartments and a loop, which allows vertical attachment to the belt and safe storage of the entire set.
