Angry Owl Purple G10, Black PVD is the result of a collaboration with American designer Keanu Alfaro, known for combining minimalist aesthetics with functional utility. His philosophy is based on simplicity, ergonomics and fine-tuned details that evolve based on community feedback. The Angry Owl was designed as a compact everyday knife, the G10 composite handle providing excellent ergonomics during use. Blade is made of D2 tool steel, valued for its hardness, abrasion resistance and ability to maintain sharpness for a long time. The black PVD coating provides both an elegant appearance and practical resistance to minor scratches. The flat grind guarantees optimal cutting geometry and facilitates sharpening. The button lock mechanism allows intuitive, safe operation, and the Blade opening provides quick opening with one or both hands. A deep-carry clip with a reversible design allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in a tip-up position, and a lanyard hole adds attachment options. This is a model that combines high quality workmanship with an affordable price, representing the modern EDC segment of Bestechman.
Keanu Alfaro, an experienced industrial designer and entrepreneur from San Diego, California, USA, has an unwavering passion for creating innovative knives and everyday tools. His youth was spent playing sports, hiking, building things and exploring the world, and it was during these adventures that he discovered his fascination with knives and tools. In 2021, Keanu began his career by joining a prestigious knife and tool company. He quickly made a name for himself as a talented designer, known for his ability to create products that combine functionality with aesthetics.

D2 – high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat -treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) – The resistance of the surface of the wedge and cutting edge is enhanced by a vacuum deposition method used to deposit thin films by condensing an evaporated form of the desired material onto the surface of the workpiece. The coating method involves a purely physical process such as high-temperature vacuum evaporation followed by condensation. The applied coating has a very high hardness which significantly increases the resistance of the blade to rust and abrasive wear.
Blade – with drop point profile offers versatility for everyday use – from precision cutting to typical EDC work. D2 steel provides excellent edge retention and wear resistance. The black PVD coating effectively masks traces of use. Flat grind improves cutting properties and makes sharpening easier. Jimping on the back increases control over the blade during use.
Handle – made of G10 composite guarantee lightweight, high strength and secure grip even in wet conditions. Textured surface improves grip without causing excessive wear. Button lock ensures easy locking and unlocking of the blade, while the blade opening promotes quick opening. A reversible deep carry clip allows discreet carrying, while a lanyard hole enhances attachment options. Ergonomically shaped handle provides comfort during prolonged use.
