AISI 440C(AmericanIron andSteelInstitute) martensitic alloy stainless steel with high 1.10% carbon (C) and high 16.0% chromium (Cr) content and impressive corrosion resistance. It is characterized by a hardness in the 57-59 HRC range. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing excellent wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for the manufacture of cutting tools for knife blades and scissors, as well as medical tools.
Blade – Drop Point type coated with glare eliminating black BT (Black Teflon) protective coating. The small thickness of the blade combined with a high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearings are responsible for the smooth and smooth operation of the blade’s ejector mechanism, which can be opened via a hole in the wedge (Thumb Hole) or with a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). The flipper flipper, when opened, forms a mini-guard preventing the hand from slipping on the blade. The whole thing is locked with a solid liner lock.
The handle – black G10 (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin) facings, textured to improve grip confidence, are screwed to the knife’s steel frame. The whole thing is bolted to a solid backspacer, also made of G10. The simple, solid design gives you the confidence of many years of use. A deep finger undercut (fore finger groove) improves grip confidence. A single-position (right-hand) deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up).
