14C28N – Martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in a range of knife steels produced by Swedish steel mills Sandvik. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Blade – made in a classic clip point profile , combining high precision blade guidance with versatility in a wide range of daily EDC tasks. Aggressively contoured tip allows precise maneuvering of the blade, and the extended working edge perfectly copes with both light cuts and more demanding field operations. The 14C28N stainless steel from Sandvik, hardened to 58-60 HRC, provides an optimal balance between hardness, corrosion resistance and ease of regeneration of the working edge, making this material particularly suitable for EDC knives. The surface of the blade has been finished with satin finish , which gives the blade a subtle shine and effectively masks micro-scratches that occur during use. The applied flat grind (flat grind) allows for smooth, efficient cutting and precise guidance of the blade through a wide range of materials, while maintaining low resistance. Handle – made of weather and mechanical damage resistant G10 composite , molded from fiberglass saturated with epoxy resin. This material is characterized by stiffness, low weight and high resistance to deformation, so that the handle remains stable even under intensive use in harsh field conditions. Ergonomic finger grooves provide a stable grip, allowing precise control of the knife with both dry and wet hands. Rounded edges further eliminate pressure points, increasing comfort for extended use. Complementing the design is a hole for a safety cable, which allows the attachment of a lanyard in field conditions. Kydex sheath and a sturdy TekLok attachment , allowing the knife to be carried comfortably and securely.
