The Herbertz CJH Red Aluminum/Black ABS, Black 420 is a knife that features a bold design and construction to fit the needs of the everyday user. 420 rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, martensitic stainless steel, which offers high hardenability (in the range of 54-56 HRC) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds for wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Head – drop point type made of hardened 420 stainless steel, known for its resistance to corrosion and easy maintenance. Its surface was covered with a black protective coating, which not only increases durability, but also gives the blade a tactical look. A partially serrated cutting edge (serrated edge) increases the efficiency of cutting materials with an uneven texture – ropes, tapes or technical fabrics. A hole in the blade and peg allows for a smooth one-handed opening, while the flat grind provides good material penetration and cutting control. This blade works well wherever versatility and reliability are needed .
Handle – based on aluminum construction with the addition of ABS plastic combines lightness with mechanical resistance. Anodized aluminum is not only eye-catching, but also provides resistance to abrasion and corrosion. ABS plastic reinforces the structure of the handle and improves grip in wet conditions. Perforations and geometric cuts increase grip and give the design a modern, aggressive look. A metal clip allows for convenient carrying, and the use of mounting screws allows for eventual disassembly for maintenance.
