Lanza Black/Purple G10, Black PVD is the result of cooperation with Polish designer Grzegorz Grabarski, known in the knife community as “Kombou” – a creator who combines in his designs inspirations from the world of sci-fi, architecture and biomechanics. The model was created for users looking for an everyday knife with a gentleman’s EDC character , in which functionality goes hand in hand with unique style. Handle made of G10 laminate in a two-tone configuration gives the design a modern yet subdued look. The weather-resistant material provides lightweight and high mechanical strength, while the subtle profiling enhances the ergonomics of the grip. Blade made of Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel features excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. PVD-coated, it combines the elegance of a satin-finished surface with the practicality of a texture that masks traces of use. The liner lock mechanism guarantees safe operation, while the ball bearing front flipper opening ensures smooth operation. 14C28N – martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in a range of knife steels produced by Swedish steel mills Sandvik. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price / quality category!
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) – The resistance of the surface of the wedge and cutting edge has been increased by a vacuum deposition method used to deposit thin films by condensing an evaporated form of the desired material onto the surface of the workpiece. The coating method involves a purely physical process such as high-temperature vacuum evaporation followed by condensation. The applied coating has a very high hardness which significantly increases the resistance of the blade to rust and abrasive wear.
Blade -spear point profile provides versatility – from precision cuts to standard EDC tasks. The symmetrical shape with a sharp tip and a central cutting edge works well for both jobs requiring control and dynamic cuts. The flat grind guarantees efficient force transmission and easy penetration of materials. PVD coating hides fine scratches, enhancing utility and aesthetic qualities. 14C28N steel ensures high corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening and long-lasting sharpness. On the back of the blade is a jimping, allowing the thumb to rest securely during precision tasks. The liner lock mechanism stably locks the Blade in the open position, and the front flipper system, combined with ball bearings, allows quick and smooth one-handed opening.
Handle – made of G10 laminate with a two-tone configuration, offers an excellent balance between strength and lightness. The textured surface improves grip, and the ergonomic profiling fits the hand for comfort in prolonged use. A flip-up deep carry clip ensures that the knife can be carried discreetly in your pocket. It’s a design that combines minimalist design with functionality and durability.
