Guile Fluorescent Green G10, Satin is the result of a collaboration with designer Shawn Ashmor, a well-known TV actor and talented designer with a penchant for simple, technical forms with a high degree of utility. In this minimalist folder you will find the essence of an approach in which form follows function – without excess ornamentation, instead with a full focus on ergonomics and design details. Guile was created as an everyday tool with clean lines that will find its way into both the pocket of the urban user and the off-roader’s gear. The blade is made of 14C28N, a stainless steel valued for its corrosion resistance, easy maintenance and good edge retention. The Wharncliffe profile and flat grind promote precise cuts, while the satin finish adds an elegant touch to the blade. Handle grips based on steel liners and G10 composite grips offer low weight and sturdiness. Subtle texturing improves the grip, and a deep carry clip allows for convenient, discreet carrying. The user has two opening methods at his disposal: a front flipper and a cutout in the Blade, which increases comfort. The whole is complemented by a liner lock, ensuring safe operation with smooth handling.
14C28N – martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Swedish steel mills Sandvik. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price / quality category!
Blade – with a Wharncliffe profile is characterized by a straight cutting edge and a gently raised back line, which promotes precise handling of the knife in everyday tasks. The 14C28N steel used guarantees good cutting properties and corrosion resistance, while being easy to sharpen. The flat grind increases cutting efficiency, while the satin finish gives a modern, subdued look. Blade cutout and front flipper allow for smooth, quick opening – both one-handed and in discreet mode.
Handle – based on steel liners, the handle is equipped with G10 composite grips, which provide an excellent compromise between low weight and wear resistance. The fine surface texture improves grip even in wet conditions, while the ergonomic profiling promotes a secure grip and comfort during prolonged use. The low-profile deep carry clip allows the knife to be carried deeply and discreetly in a pocket. The applied liner lock guarantees stability of the blade in the open position and intuitive operation. The design of the handle is in keeping with the style of technical minimalism, while maintaining high utility functionality.
