Chnops 3K Carbon Fiber, Satin is a modern offering from Fox Knives, created by Italian designer Riccardo Gobbato for users looking for a balance between aesthetics and functionality. The knife is distinguished by its minimalist design, low weight and the use of advanced materials, making it an excellent choice for everyday carry – both in urban and outdoor contexts. Blade is made of Böhler M390 steel, considered one of the best materials for EDC blades thanks to its high corrosion resistance, excellent edge retention and mechanical durability. The drop point profile and full flat grind provide excellent cutting control, while the handmade satin finish gives the overall blade a subtle sheen and elegant look. The operation of the knife is intuitive and fast thanks to the flipper and the milling on the back (jimping), improving the comfort of operation. Handle made of 3K Carbon Fiber composite combines rigidity of construction with low weight, which translates into all-day comfort. The textured surface improves grip, while the orange-tinted anodized backspacer acts as both an aesthetic and reinforcing structure. The model features a stainless steel deep-carry clip and a liner lock mechanism, ensuring stable and secure locking of the blade.
Riccardo Gobbato, raised in the artisanal environment of Maniago, began his professional path as a technical designer, which gradually turned into a deep passion for knife making, leading him to his design business under the authorial pseudonym Raven Knives Design. Since 2019, he has been working with the renowned Fox Knives company, for which he has created a number of designs, including the outstanding Chnops model – characterized by its minimalist form and use of high-quality materials such as carbon fiber and sophisticated Damasteel steel. His designs, perfectly balancing engineering precision with refined aesthetics, have also been recognized in the offerings of the prestigious Spyderco brand, where the Essenza model is the quintessence of his pursuit of functional beauty. Through his original creations, Gobbato continues to expand the boundaries of utilitarian design, masterfully combining deep-rooted craftsmanship with the innovations of contemporary design.
M390 – martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), hardened between 59-61 HRC,vacuum and cryogenic treatment and double tempering. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Handle – made of 3K Carbon Fiber composite, a material that provides high strength and exceptional lightness. Its surface has been gently textured to improve grip, and the ergonomic profiling increases holding comfort even during prolonged work. The orange anodized backspacer stiffens the design and introduces a dynamic styling accent. The user has a double-sided deep-carry clip for discreet carrying and a liner lock, which guarantees security during use. It comes with an elegant pouch made of high-quality leather for storing and carrying the knife.
