CPM S45VN – an American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, one of the best blade steels. Designed to provide better strength compared to CPM S30V, while keeping corrosion resistance at the highest level. Produced by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition has been balanced so that it is composed of 0.5% niobium carbides (Nb) along with 3.0% vanadium (V) and 14.0%chromium (Cr) carbides. The improved strength of CPM S45VN also provides better resistance to edge chipping.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) surface durability of the blade is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry.
Blade – tanto type , made of high-grade CPM S45VN steel , known for its excellent corrosion resistance, cutting edge stability and ability to maintain sharpness for a long time. The black DLC coating gives it a more tactical feel. Thanks to the hollow grind, the blade offers very good cutting properties while maintaining adequate strength in the tip zone. The flipper is responsible for the Blade’s quick opening, while the milling on the back(jimping) improves control in precision cuts. The whole is supported by a strong pivot, which increases the smoothness of operation and mechanical resistance.
Handle – a combination of titanium and G10 composite inlays, which provides both high mechanical resistance and improved grip in the hand. The texture of G10 improves the control of the tool in difficult conditions, and its low weight has a positive effect on the balance of the entire structure. The whole was fused together with flame-dyed screws, which harmonize with the titanium clip. The deep carry clip allows the knife to be carried discreetly and securely. The Handle was designed for users expecting maximum functionality and aesthetics at the highest level.
