3D Spider Blue Titanium Steel, Blue Titanium 420 is an original proposal from Herbertz, which balances between fine art and functional EDC knife. The distinctive design, including a metal Handle with a three-dimensional spider motif and a blade with a blue titanium coating, creates an eye-catching tool both in the collection, and in everyday use. The 420 stainless steel used guarantees resistance to corrosion and ease of maintenance, while light perforations in the back of the Blade reduce its weight and emphasize the artistic character of the whole. The surface finish gives the knife a deep blue sheen and an extra layer of protection. The Handle retains full functionality despite its artistic form – an openwork skeleton with geometric holes and pronounced profiling allows for a secure grip. The decorative application of a spider, integrated into the body, adds to the overall style bordering on fantasy and steampunk. The model is equipped with a clip and a cord hole, which makes it useful also outside the context of collecting.
AISI 420(AmericanIron andSteelInstitute) rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade – with drop point profile of 420 steel, valued for its resistance to moisture and ease of sharpening. The cutting edge, brought out with a flat grind, guarantees good performance in everyday tasks. Blue titanium coating adds durability, increases abrasion resistance and gives the Blade a unique decorative character. In the back of the blade there are cutouts, which reduce weight and complete the modern styling.
Handle – made of metal frame, the Handle is a combination of aesthetics and engineering precision. The openwork arrangement of geometric holes gives the whole a light and technical look, and the decorative spider figure with a tactile texture is the central visual element. A blue titanium coating covering the entire surface improves durability and protects against scratches. The whole is complemented by a carrying clip and a cord hole, increasing the functionality of the design.
