Herbertz CJH Rattan Wood, Titanium 420 is an elegant interpretation of an EDC knife, where traditional materials meet a modern approach to durability and form. The use of 420 stainless steel, known for its corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening, combined with the Titanium coating, significantly enhances the utility and aesthetic qualities of the blade. This finish gives the blade a technical, matte character, while improving its resistance to wear. The opening mechanism is based on a double-sided peg, which supports intuitive operation for both right- and left-handed people. The sturdy construction and secure blade lock allow the knife to be used for a wide range of everyday tasks – from simple office work, outdoor and workshop activities. The handle made of rattan wood provides a natural grip and a classic look, and its textured surface improves grip in a variety of conditions. 420 rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, martensitic stainless steel, which offers high hardenability (in the range of 54-56 HRC) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Head – made of 420 stainless steel, which provides good corrosion resistance and ease of maintenance and sharpening. The Titanium coating used increases abrasion resistance, giving the surface a matte satin texture. The drop point profile guarantees versatility – from precision tasks to cuts with greater resistance. A smooth grind improves cutting efficiency. Handle – natural rattan wood, whose warm texture and structural stability affect the comfort and safety of work.
