Monteserra OD Green G10, Top Shield / Stonewashed, designed by GZ Tactical Knives, is a compact knife with a fixed blade of full tang construction, designed for rough terrain and tactical applications. The model’s name refers to Monte Serra – a Tuscan peak used as a testing ground for military equipment, which perfectly reflects its practical nature. Blade made of Niolox steel hardened to high hardness offers durability and corrosion resistance, while stonewashed finish and Top Shield coating mask traces of use. The drop point profile, flat grind and fuller recess enhance functionality, from precision cutting to working under load. The textured G10 composite Handle guarantees a secure grip even in harsh conditions, while the full tang design provides maximum rigidity. Sheath made of Kydex with MOLLE attachment system included. Giacomo Zefilippo, founder of GZ Tactical Knives, combines military experience with blacksmith craftsmanship to create knives with precise geometry and ergonomics. His KS model, inspired by intensive training in the Folgore parachute brigade, reflects the practical needs of the soldier in the field. A collaboration with FOX Knives resulted in the production of this model, which features a hardened Niolox steel blade and a black G10 handle for a secure grip even in harsh conditions. Zefilippo continues to develop its brand, offering knives tailored to the needs of professionals and tactical enthusiasts, combining functionality with aesthetics.
Niolox – tool steel with good edge holding and high strength. Hardened in the range 58-60 HRC. It is characterized by aggressive cutting and good impact strength. The name comes from the element niobium (Nb), one of the best carbides, which contributes to the steel’s wear resistance. Niolox contains 0.7% of it.Easy to sharpen with moderate corrosion resistance, it contains 12.7% chromium (Cr). Manufactured by the German steelworks Lohmann.
Blade – is based on the drop point profile, offering a large working surface and a reinforced tip, which allows for precise and forceful cuts. Made of German Niolox steel, it provides excellent sharpness retention, wear and corrosion resistance, even under heavy use.Flat grind reduces material drag and increases efficiency, while the stonewashed finish and Top Shield coating masks scratches and emphasizes the tactical nature of the blade. Fuller reduces the blade’s weight without affecting its rigidity, while adding visual dynamism. Blade type fixed blade is a guarantee of reliability and durability. Handle – made of G10 composite, resistant to moisture, changing temperatures and intense mechanical stress. The deep texture increases grip even in a wet hand or with gloves, providing stability and grip security. The ergonomic profiling reduces fatigue during prolonged use, and the full tang construction strengthens the whole and increases resistance to twisting and breaking. There is a rope hole in the back , allowing the knife to be secured or personalized according to the user’s needs. Included is a sheath made of Kydex, resistant to damage and allowing flexible attachment – vertical, horizontal or compatible with MOLLE systems.
